Blind Date 2004:
ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE

or maybe a partner that returns your e-mails

Blind Date 2004 is over! And, well, it went like a lot of blind dates. There were a lot of matches made in heaven, some matches made in hell, and a few people that were left waiting by the phone (metaphorically), twiddling their thumbs or plotting bloody revenge (hopefully metaphorically).

Take a look, enjoy the collaborative efforts of these randomly-paired love-crazed artist types, and take the time to check out their comics and sites, okay? They'll love you for it.

Sahsha Andrade of Nekko and Joruba was partnered with Fragile Gravity's Barb Fischer for an instant classic tale of romance. A perfect start to this great event!

Feel the Love.

Dave Cheung of Chugworth Academy turned out to be the perfect artistic complement to the warped mind of Landon Porter of Ledgermain Comics.

Heartwarming!

Petie Shumate of Lab Goats made sweet bizarre magic with the infamous Lucas Phelps in a classic they had to call... well, you'll see.

You'll never guess what band they like.

Beware the combination of War and Will. Chaos reigns (and beer flows) as universal saviours meet and date! Babes, beer and I.S.2!

Bryan Prindiville of Bassetville has woven classic cat & dog magic with Thompson of Townies for five perfectly charming Valentine's strips.

Spend Valentine's day on the couch (or floor).

Innies, Outies and Fans... Leonard Cachola and T Campbell provide a satirical look at blind dates to remember. Or forget. Depending on your perspective.

Love from beyond the stars? Magick and science make sweet music as Mark Mekkes and Jamie Robertson combine forces for a tale that is (dare I say it?) out of this world (I do!)!

Next time you go camping, remember this, friends.

When looking up "Unholy alliance" in the dictionary, you may find reference to this: the teaming of Tycho and Josh Sortelli. I'd describe it, but I can't.

Experience the magic, kids.

Gooni and Psychomutt perservered through my wonky e-mail, the Comixpedia server crash, and several other disasters to bring you this, their Blind Date entry.

Read it. They deserve it.

High-caliber romance...Dan Hess and Christopher Lòpez bring a touch of the modern into a classic tale of ... well, you know.

Lock n' load!

Well, Josh L. and Inkmonkey have never walked the beaten path, so their Blind Date collaboration may come as no surprise. Then again, it surprised the heck out of me.

Love and valuable life lessons...here!

Fenris and Rodrigo Pin present a story in progress. But don't worry, the important bits are yet to come.

Cupid rides the rails in Folsom.

Sometimes, a pair just seems to be perfect for each other... and these two complemented each other to a T, because their names were really really hard to spell. Witness the majesty of a Teague Tysseling and r*k* Milholland collaboration!

Hey babe, have you seen my pants anywhere?

An epic in all senses of the word! Yes, even thatsense! "Mighty" Al Schroeder and Eric Nault have a whopping thirteen pages of story and art, featuring anthro characters, super heroes, evil Care Bears and... more!

Eet ees, how you say, a "blast."

Go see what I mean.

Will this unit find requisite interpersonal transference?

What else could be expected when teaming the *****-fighting Edward J. Grug III and the pixel-savvy Erik M? Maybe the WORST DATE EVER, that's what.

She is just the cute-si-est cat ever.

Bill "Monster Hollow" Duncan and Miguel Estrugo made the poemin' and the drawin' and the colorin' to make this year's sweetest entry.

Print 'er and put 'er on the fridge!

Learn to parlez-vous the amour de love-love.

Keenspotters of a feather flock together... and two of the 'spot's talented new recruits have been united by fate to weave a tale of love, loss, lipstick (well, maybe not lipstick) and bass-boating! (in a manner of speaking). Join Straub and Troutman for the CROSSOVER that crosses YOU!
